1990 Toyota Land Cruiser Key Fob Battery Replacement Instructions
If your Land Cruiser remote key fob is no longer working well, the cell battery likely must to be replaced. It's not difficult to change the battery in your keyless entry remote by yourself. All tools, that you need is explained in this post.
What type battery does 1990 Toyota Land Cruiser key fob take
Before starting open remote key fob make sure that you have all required tools and materials: flat head screwdriver, one CR1616 battery and phillips head screwdriver.- 1xCR1616 battery

Step by step guide
A small button cell battery installed inside the your keyless entry remote. Remove screw on the back of the remote key fob. Spin the key fob over and find for at least 1 fastener holding in the plastic.
Gently try to pry apart your fob with hands or flat head screwdriver. Remove 1 CR1616 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new battery in fob’s shell. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your keyless entry remote will not work if you connect battery wrong way.
When the new battery installed, check key fob by pressing buttons. If everything working fine, assemble your keyless entry fob's body in reverse order.
At this point squeeze keyless entry fob's back cover together. Line your case two halves together and assemble it together by hands from top to bottom. Check your key shell for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step. Screw the back of the key fob.
