Simple steps to change the battery in your car's key fob
Inside of your remote key fob installed small button cell battery. Remove fasteners on the back of the remote key fob. Flip the remote key fob over and look for at least 1 fastener holding in the plastic.
Gently try to pry apart your remote key fob with pry tools. Remove 2 CR1220 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Change old batteries with new one CR1220. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the charge cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check polarity on battery, by "+" mark.
Before assembling keyless entry fob's case, make sure that everything working fine by testing buttons on circuit board.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Gently try to assemble the two halves in place by hands from top to bottom. Check your remote key fob shell for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step. Screw the back of the keyless entry remote.
