Simple steps to change the battery in your car's keyless entry remote
A tiny button cell battery installed in the your remote key fob. Carefully try to pry apart your fob with hands or flat head screwdriver. Change two CR2016 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Get new batteries and install it inside fob’s case. Battery must be placed with the same polarity as was a previous. Your key will not work if you by mistake put battery wrong way.
Before assembling fob’s case, make sure that everything is functioning by testing buttons on remote key fob.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Carefully try to put the pieces in place by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your remote key fob shell for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step.
