Before starting open remote key fob check all that you need: flat head screwdriver and 2 CR2016 batteries.- 2xCR2016 batteries

Simple steps to replace the battery in your S10's key fob
A coin cell battery installed inside the your keyless entry remote. Accurately try to pry apart your remote key fob with pry tools. Remove CR2016 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old batteries with new one CR2016. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the charge cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
Before assembling fob’s case, verify that everything is functioning by pressing buttons on circuit board.
At this point squeeze keyless entry fob's back cover together. Line your case pieces together and assemble it in place by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your fob shell for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step.
