Simple steps to change the battery in your Cherokee's key fob
Inside of your keyless entry remote installed small coin cell battery. Delicately try to pry apart your fob with pry tools. Remove 2 CR1616 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new batteries in keyless entry fob's shell. Battery must be placed with the same position as was an old. Your key will not work if you mistakenly place battery wrong way.
Before assembling keyless entry fob's case, verify that all functions works by pressing buttons on keyless entry remote.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Carefully try to put the two halves together by hands from top to bottom. Check your remote key fob shell for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
