1993 Toyota MR2 Key Fob Battery Replacement Instructions

What type battery keyless entry remote use
Before you start to disassembly keyless entry remote check all that you need: 1 CR2025 battery, phillips head screwdriver and flat head screwdriver.- phillips head screwdriver
- 1xCR2025 battery
- flat head screwdriver
Step by step guide
Inside of your remote key fob installed small button battery. Remove screw on the back of the key fob. Flip the key fob over and look for at least 1 screw holding in the plastic.
Accurately try to pry apart your key with hands or flat head screwdriver. Replace 1xCR2025 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new battery inside fob’s body. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
When the new battery installed, check key fob by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s body in reverse order.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your body pieces together and put it together by hands from top to bottom. Check your key body for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step. Screw fastener in the back of the remote key fob.
