Simple steps to replace the battery in your A4's key fob
Inside of your keyless entry remote installed button cell battery. Open the key if it is in the remote key fob.
Carefully try to pry apart your key fob with pry tools. Change 2 CR2025 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Change old batteries with fresh one CR2025. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your keyless entry remote will not work if you put battery wrong way.
When the new batteries installed, verify key fob functionality by pressing buttons. If everything working fine, assemble your fob’s shell in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Gently try to put the pieces together by hands from top to bottom. If your key case firmly closed, we done. If not, repeat the last step.
