Simple steps to replace the battery in your F-150's remote key fob
A small button battery installed inside the your keyless entry remote. Carefully try to open your key fob with hands or flat head screwdriver. Replace two CR2016 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Change old batteries with fresh one CR2016. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your key will not work if you connect battery wrong way.
Before assembling fob’s case, make sure that all functions works by pressing buttons on keyless entry remote.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your shell two halves together and assemble it in place by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your keyless entry remote shell for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
