How to Open Your 1994 Toyota MR2 Key Fob and Change Battery

Keyless entry remote allow easy access to your MR2. Once the remote key fob battery is dead or weak you will lose your fob’s ability to use remote opportunities. Below, we outlined how to open your car key fob and change your Toyota key battery.
What kind of battery remote key fob use
Before starting disassembly keyless entry remote check all that you need: one CR2025 battery, phillips head screwdriver and flat head screwdriver.- phillips head screwdriver

Simple steps to change the battery in your car's remote key fob
Inside of your remote key fob installed coin cell battery. Remove screw on the back of the keyless entry remote. Spin the remote key fob over and look for at least 1 fastener holding in the plastic.
Carefully try to open your remote key fob with pry tools. Replace CR2025 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Change old battery with fresh one CR2025. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the charge cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
After the new battery installed, check keyless entry remote by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your keyless entry fob's shell in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Gently try to put the two halves together by hands from top to bottom. If your fob case firmly closed, we done. If not, repeat the last step. Screw fastener in the back of the keyless entry remote.
