How to Replace the Battery in a 1994 Volkswagen Cabrio Key Fob

Replacing batteries in remote key fob require 2xCR2016 batteries and flat head screwdriver. Prepare these materials and tools before opening and make sure to match the size of your fob’s batteries.- flat head screwdriver

Step by step instruction
Inside of your key fob installed tiny coin cell battery. Carefully try to pry apart your fob with hands or flat head screwdriver. Remove 2 CR2016 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Get new batteries and install it in keyless entry fob's case. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your key will not work if you connect battery wrong way.
Before assembling fob’s case, verify that all functions works by pressing buttons on key fob.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Carefully try to assemble the pieces in place by hands from top to bottom. Check your key fob body for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
