Before starting open keyless entry remote check all that you need: 2xCR2016 batteries and flat head screwdriver.- flat head screwdriver

Simple steps to change the battery in your Cougar's keyless entry remote
Inside of your keyless entry remote installed button battery. Carefully try to open your keyless entry remote with pry tools. Change 2 CR2016 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Get new batteries and install it inside fob’s shell. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the charge cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
After the new batteries installed, check remote key fob by pressing buttons. If everything working fine, assemble your keyless entry fob's body in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Accurately try to put the two halves together by hands from top to bottom. If your key fob shell tightly closed, we done. If not, repeat the last step.
