How to Replace the Battery in a 1995 Volkswagen Golf Key Fob

Simple steps to replace the battery in your car's keyless entry remote
Inside of your key fob installed tiny coin cell battery. Delicately try to open your key with flat head screwdriver. Replace 2xCR2016 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new batteries in keyless entry fob's shell. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
After the new batteries installed, verify key fob functionality by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your keyless entry fob's shell in reverse order.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your shell two halves together and put it together by hands from top to bottom. Check your keyless entry remote case for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
