Simple steps to replace the battery in your Ranger's remote key fob
Inside of your remote key fob installed tiny coin battery. Gently try to disassemble your fob with pry tools. Remove CR2016 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old batteries with fresh one CR2016. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your key will not work if you connect battery wrong way.
After the new batteries installed, verify key fob functionality by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your keyless entry fob's case in reverse order.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your body two halves together and put it in place by hands from top to bottom. Check your remote key fob body for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
