Replacing batteries in remote key fob require flat head screwdriver and 2 CR2016 batteries. Prepare these materials and tools before opening and make sure to match the size of your fob’s batteries.- 2xCR2016 batteries

Simple steps to change the battery in your Cabrio's remote key fob
A tiny coin battery installed in the your key fob. Gently try to open your key with hands or flat head screwdriver. Remove 2xCR2016 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new batteries in keyless entry fob's case. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check polarity on battery, by "+" mark.
After the new batteries installed, verify key fob by pressing buttons. If everything is functioning, assemble your fob’s case in reverse order.
At this point squeeze keyless entry fob's back cover together. Line your body two halves together and assemble it together by hands from top to bottom. If your key body firmly closed, we done. If not, repeat the last step.
