How to Open Your 1997 Land Rover Discovery Key Fob and Change Battery

If your auto key is not open doors correct, the cell battery probably needs to be changed. It's not complicated to change the battery in your key fob, and it’s easier than you think. All you need is described in this post.
What is the battery remote key fob require
Before beginning disassembly remote key fob make sure that you have all required tools and materials: one CR2032 battery and flat head screwdriver.- flat head screwdriver

Step by step guide
Inside of your remote key fob installed small coin cell battery. Gently try to pry apart your key with hands or flat head screwdriver. Change 1xCR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Get new battery and install it inside fob’s case. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check polarity on battery, by "+" mark.
When the new battery installed, check key fob functionality by pressing buttons. If everything is functioning, assemble your keyless entry fob's shell in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Gently try to put the pieces together by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your key body for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
