Simple steps to replace the battery in your car's keyless entry remote
A small button cell battery installed in the your remote key fob. Open the key if it is in the remote key fob.
Carefully try to pry apart your key with pry tools. Remove 2xCR2025 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Get new batteries and install it in keyless entry fob's body. Battery must be installed with the same position as was a previous. Your key fob will not work if you mistakenly put battery wrong way.
After the new batteries installed, verify keyless entry remote functionality by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s shell in reverse order.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your body two halves together and put it together by hands from top to bottom. Check your remote key fob case for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
