Simple steps to replace the battery in your car's key fob
Inside of your keyless entry remote installed small button battery. Delicately try to open your fob with pry tools. Replace 2 CR2016 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Get new batteries and install it in fob’s shell. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
After the new batteries installed, check key fob functionality by pressing buttons. If everything is functioning, assemble your fob’s body in reverse order.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your body two halves together and put it in place by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your key shell for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step.
