How to Replace the Battery in a 1998 Mercedes-Benz CLK320 Key Fob

Replacing batteries in remote key fob require flat head screwdriver and 2 CR2025 batteries. Prepare these materials and tools before opening and make sure to match the size of your fob’s batteries.- flat head screwdriver

Simple steps to change the battery in your CLK320's key fob
A coin battery installed inside the your remote key fob. Remove any internal key before you try to pry apart the keyless entry remote.
Carefully try to disassemble your key with hands or flat head screwdriver. Replace CR2025 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new batteries in keyless entry fob's shell. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
When the new batteries installed, verify remote key fob functionality by pressing buttons. If everything working properly, assemble your keyless entry fob's case in reverse order.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your case two halves together and put it together by hands from top to bottom. Check your keyless entry remote shell for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
