Simple steps to change the battery in your Mountaineer's keyless entry remote
A small button battery installed in the your keyless entry remote. Accurately try to disassemble your remote key fob with pry tools. Remove 1 CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old battery with new one CR2032. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
When the new battery installed, check remote key fob functionality by pressing buttons. If everything is functioning, assemble your keyless entry fob's body in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Carefully try to put the two halves in place by hands from top to bottom. If your key shell tightly closed, we done. If not, repeat the last step.
