Before going to disassembly remote key fob make sure that you have all recommended tools and materials: phillips head screwdriver, flat head screwdriver and one CR2025 battery.- phillips head screwdriver

Simple steps to change the battery in your Rav4's key fob
Inside of your remote key fob installed tiny button battery. Remove fasteners on the back of the key fob. Spin the keyless entry remote over and find for at least 1 fastener holding in the plastic.
Gently try to pry apart your key fob with flat head screwdriver. Change 1xCR2025 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Get new battery and install it in keyless entry fob's case. Battery must be placed with the same position as was an old. Your keyless entry remote will not work if you by mistake place battery wrong way.
After the new battery installed, check remote key fob by pressing buttons. If everything is functioning, assemble your keyless entry fob's body in reverse order.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your shell two halves together and put it together by hands from top to bottom. If your keyless entry remote shell firmly closed, we done. If not, repeat the last step. Screw the back of the remote key fob.
