How to Open Your 2000 Chevrolet Impala Key Fob & Change Battery

If your Impala key fob isn't working properly, the battery surely needs to be changed. Below, we are going to tell you how to open your keyless entry remote and change a weak battery yourself. If you choose to do it at home near Impala, use this instruction, but first make sure you have all you need.
What kind of battery remote key fob require
Before starting open keyless entry remote be sure that you have all required tools and materials: flat head screwdriver and CR2032 battery.- 1xCR2032 battery

Step by step instruction
A tiny button cell battery installed in the your remote key fob. Gently try to open your key fob with pry tools. Change one CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Get new battery and install it inside fob’s case. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
After the new battery installed, check remote key fob by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s shell in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Gently try to put the two halves in place by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your key case for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
