2000 Chevrolet Suburban Key Fob Battery Replacement Instructions

Keyless entry remote grant access to your auto. When the remote key fob battery is dead or weak you will lose your keyless entry fob's ability to control distance opening function. Below, we walks you through how to disassembly your remote key fob and replace your Chevrolet key battery.

Replacing battery in remote key fob require flat head screwdriver and 1xCR2032 battery. Prepare these materials and tools before opening and make sure to match the type of your fob’s batteries.- 1xCR2032 battery

Step by step guide
A coin battery installed inside the your keyless entry remote. Accurately try to pry apart your fob with hands or flat head screwdriver. Remove one CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new battery inside fob’s body. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the charge cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check polarity on battery, by "+" mark.
After the new battery installed, verify key fob by pressing buttons. If everything is functioning, assemble your fob’s body in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Delicately try to put the two halves together by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your key body for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
