How to Open Your 2000 Isuzu Rodeo Key Fob and Change Battery

Before going to open remote key fob check all that you need: flat head screwdriver, phillips head screwdriver and two CR2016 batteries.- phillips head screwdriver

Step by step guide
A tiny button battery installed inside the your key fob. Unscrew the back of the remote key fob. Flip the key fob over and look for at least 1 screw holding in the plastic.
Delicately try to open your remote key fob with pry tools. Change two CR2016 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new batteries in keyless entry fob's body. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the charge cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check polarity on battery, by "+" mark.
When the new batteries installed, check keyless entry remote functionality by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your keyless entry fob's case in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Carefully try to put the two halves together by hands from top to bottom. If your fob shell firmly closed, we done. If not, repeat the last step. Screw the back of the key fob.
