Below, we are going to tell you how to disassembly your remote key fob and replace a dead battery DIY. Simple steps to replace the battery in your car's remote key fob
A coin battery installed inside the your key fob. Accurately try to pry apart your fob with pry tools. Replace 2 CR2016 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old batteries with new one CR2016. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
Before assembling fob’s case, make sure that everything is functioning by pressing buttons on circuit board.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Carefully try to assemble the pieces in place by hands from top to bottom. Check your keyless entry remote case for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
