Simple steps to replace the battery in your SL500's keyless entry remote
Inside of your key fob installed button battery. Remove any internal key first, and then try to pry apart the remote key fob.
Accurately try to disassemble your fob with hands or flat head screwdriver. Change two CR2025 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old batteries with fresh one CR2025. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check polarity on battery, by "+" mark.
When the new batteries installed, check key fob by pressing buttons. If everything working good, assemble your fob’s body in reverse order.
At this point squeeze keyless entry fob's back cover together. Line your body two halves together and assemble it together by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your fob shell for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step.
