2001 Acura RL Key Fob Battery Replacement Guide

Prior to disassembly key fob be sure that you have all recommended tools and materials: 1xCR2025 battery, flat head screwdriver and phillips head screwdriver.- flat head screwdriver

Simple steps to change the battery in your RL's remote key fob
A small coin cell battery installed in the your remote key fob. Unscrew the back of the key fob. Spin the key fob over and look for at least one fastener holding in the plastic.
Accurately try to pry apart your keyless entry remote with pry tools. Remove one CR2025 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new battery in keyless entry fob's body. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
When the new battery installed, check remote key fob functionality by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s shell in reverse order.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your case pieces together and put it together by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your keyless entry remote case for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step. Screw the back of the remote key fob.
