2001 Audi A4 Key Fob Battery Replacement Instructions

What is the battery key fob use
Changing batteries in key fob require flat head screwdriver and 2xCR1620 batteries. Prepare these materials and tools before opening and make sure to match the type of your fob’s batteries.- flat head screwdriver

Step by step guide
Inside of your key fob installed coin battery. Open key before you try to pry apart the keyless entry remote. Your keyless entry remote key can be extracted with slide.
Delicately try to disassemble your keyless entry remote with hands or flat head screwdriver. Remove 2xCR1620 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new batteries inside keyless entry fob's shell. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
Before assembling fob’s case, check that all functions works by pressing buttons on circuit board.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your case two halves together and assemble it in place by hands from top to bottom. Check your key body for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
