Simple steps to change the battery in your Elantra's keyless entry remote
Inside of your key fob installed small button cell battery. Remove fasteners on the back of the keyless entry remote. Spin the key fob over and find for at least one screw holding in the plastic.
Carefully try to open your remote key fob with flat head screwdriver. Replace one CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Change old battery with new one CR2032. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your key will not work if you place battery wrong way.
Before assembling keyless entry fob's case, make sure that all working properly by pressing buttons on remote key fob.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your shell pieces together and assemble it in place by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your key case for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step. Screw fastener in the back of the key fob.
