Simple steps to change the battery in your Trooper's remote key fob
A tiny coin cell battery installed in the your key fob. Unscrew the back of the remote key fob. Flip the key fob over and look for at least one fastener holding in the plastic.
Accurately try to pry apart your key fob with hands or flat head screwdriver. Replace CR2016 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new batteries in keyless entry fob's shell. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
When the new batteries installed, verify keyless entry remote by pressing buttons. If everything is functioning, assemble your fob’s shell in reverse order.
At this point squeeze keyless entry fob's back cover together. Line your body pieces together and put it in place by hands from top to bottom. Check your fob body for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step. Screw the back of the keyless entry remote.
