2001 Toyota 4Runner Key Fob Battery Replacement Instructions

If your 4Runner remote key fob isn't working perfectly, the cell battery surely needs to be replaced. Before beginning open remote key fob check all that you need: flat head screwdriver, phillips head screwdriver and one CR2025 battery.- flat head screwdriver

- 1xCR2025 battery
Step by step instruction
Inside of your keyless entry remote installed small coin battery. Remove fasteners on the back of the key fob. Spin the remote key fob over and find for at least 1 screw holding in the plastic.
Delicately try to open your keyless entry remote with pry tools. Remove CR2025 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Change old battery with new one CR2025. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the charge cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check polarity on battery, by "+" mark.
Before assembling fob’s case, verify that all functions works by pressing buttons on circuit board.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Carefully try to assemble the two halves in place by hands from top to bottom. If your keyless entry remote shell tightly closed, we done. If not, repeat the last step. Screw fastener in the back of the key fob.
