How to Open Your 2001 Toyota Solara Key Fob & Change Battery

Changing battery in key fob require CR2016 battery, flat head screwdriver and phillips head screwdriver. Prepare these materials and tools before opening and make sure to match the size of your fob’s batteries.- phillips head screwdriver

Simple steps to replace the battery in your Solara's key fob
Inside of your key fob installed coin battery. Remove screw on the back of the keyless entry remote. Flip the key fob over and find for at least one fastener holding in the plastic.
Delicately try to pry apart your key with pry tools. Remove CR2016 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Get new battery and install it in fob’s shell. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your key will not work if you put battery wrong way.
Before assembling fob’s case, check that everything working good by pressing buttons on circuit board.
At this point squeeze keyless entry fob's back cover together. Line your shell two halves together and put it in place by hands from top to bottom. Check your fob body for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step. Screw fastener in the back of the keyless entry remote.
