How to Open Your 2001 Toyota Tercel Key Fob and Change Battery
Key fob grant access to your Toyota. Once the key battery is weak or dead you will lose your fob’s ability to control distance opportunities. Step by step guide
A small button cell battery installed in the your keyless entry remote. Remove fasteners on the back of the key fob. Flip the keyless entry remote over and look for at least 1 screw holding in the plastic.
Delicately try to pry apart your fob with hands or flat head screwdriver. Change one CR2025 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old battery with new one CR2025. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your remote key fob will not work if you put battery wrong way.
When the new battery installed, check key fob functionality by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your keyless entry fob's body in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Accurately try to assemble the two halves in place by hands from top to bottom. If your key body firmly closed, we done. If not, repeat the last step. Screw fastener in the back of the key fob.
