Prior to open remote key fob make sure that you have all recommended tools and materials: flat head screwdriver and 1 CR2032 battery.- flat head screwdriver
- 1xCR2032 battery
Simple steps to replace the battery in your car's remote key fob
A coin battery installed in the your key fob. Carefully try to open your key fob with pry tools. Change 1xCR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Change old battery with new one CR2032. Battery must be placed with the same polarity as was a previous. Your key will not work if you mistakenly put battery wrong way.
After the new battery installed, check keyless entry remote functionality by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s case in reverse order.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your shell pieces together and put it in place by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your key case for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
