Before starting disassembly remote key fob make sure that you have all recommended tools and materials: CR1616 battery and flat head screwdriver.- flat head screwdriver

Simple steps to change the battery in your car's keyless entry remote
Inside of your key fob installed tiny coin battery. Delicately try to disassemble your fob with hands or flat head screwdriver. Replace one CR1616 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old battery with new one CR1616. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the charge cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check polarity on battery, by "+" mark.
When the new battery installed, check remote key fob by pressing buttons. If everything is functioning, assemble your keyless entry fob's case in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Gently try to assemble the pieces in place by hands from top to bottom. Check your remote key fob case for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step.
