2002 Mercedes-Benz ML500 Key Fob Battery Replacement Guide
If your Mercedes-Benz key fob is not open doors properly, the cell battery more likely needs to be replaced. In this post, we are going to tell you how to disassembly your key fob and replace a weak or dead battery DIY. What type battery keyless entry remote require
Before you start to open key fob check all that you need: flat head screwdriver and 2 CR2025 batteries.- flat head screwdriver
- 2xCR2025 batteries
Simple steps to replace the battery in your car's keyless entry remote
A coin battery installed inside the your remote key fob. Remove any internal key first, and then try to pry apart the key fob.
Delicately try to pry apart your fob with flat head screwdriver. Replace 2 CR2025 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old batteries with fresh one CR2025. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the charge cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
When the new batteries installed, check remote key fob by pressing buttons. If everything is functioning, assemble your keyless entry fob's body in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Accurately try to assemble the pieces in place by hands from top to bottom. Check your key fob case for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step.
