How to Replace the Battery in a 2002 Toyota 4Runner Key Fob

If your 4Runner remote key fob is no longer open doors well, the battery most likely must to be changed. In this post, we explained how to open your car keyless entry remote and replace your Toyota key battery step by step.
What is the battery keyless entry remote require
Changing battery in remote key fob require 1 CR2025 battery, phillips head screwdriver and flat head screwdriver. Prepare these materials and tools before opening and make sure to match the type of your fob’s batteries.- 1xCR2025 battery

Step by step instruction
Inside of your keyless entry remote installed tiny button battery. Unscrew the back of the remote key fob. Flip the key fob over and look for at least 1 screw holding in the plastic.
Gently try to open your key with flat head screwdriver. Change one CR2025 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old battery with new one CR2025. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your remote key fob will not work if you put battery wrong way.
After the new battery installed, check remote key fob functionality by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s shell in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Gently try to put the pieces in place by hands from top to bottom. If your key fob case tightly closed, we done. If not, repeat the last step. Screw the back of the key fob.
