2003 Lexus IS 300 Key Fob Battery Replacement Guide

Before you start to disassembly remote key fob check all that you need: flat head screwdriver and one CR1616 battery.- flat head screwdriver

Step by step instruction
A tiny coin battery installed inside the your remote key fob. Move the key out of the way if it is in the key fob.
Carefully try to open your key fob with pry tools. Replace 1 CR1616 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old battery with new one CR1616. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
When the new battery installed, check keyless entry remote by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s body in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Accurately try to put the two halves together by hands from top to bottom. Check your fob shell for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step.
