How to Replace the Battery in a 2003 Mercedes-Benz ML500 Key Fob

Remote key fob allow easy access to your ML500. Once the key fob battery is dead or weak you lose your fob’s ability to use distance functions. In this article, we demonstrate how to disassembly your car keyless entry remote and replace a discharged battery yourself. If you decide to do it at home near ML500, use this guide, but first make sure you have tools and materials required.
What type battery remote key fob use
Before going to disassembly keyless entry remote make sure that you have all required tools and materials: 2xCR2025 batteries and flat head screwdriver.- 2xCR2025 batteries

Step by step instruction
A tiny coin battery installed in the your remote key fob. Move the key out of the way if it is in the key fob.
Gently try to pry apart your keyless entry remote with pry tools. Change 2 CR2025 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old batteries with new one CR2025. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the charge cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
After the new batteries installed, check keyless entry remote by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your keyless entry fob's body in reverse order.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your case pieces together and assemble it in place by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your fob shell for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step.
