Changing battery in keyless entry remote require CR2032 battery and flat head screwdriver. Prepare these materials and tools before opening and make sure to match the type of your fob’s batteries.- 1xCR2032 battery

Simple steps to replace the battery in your Golf's remote key fob
Inside of your remote key fob installed tiny coin cell battery. Open key first, and then try to pry apart the key fob.
Delicately try to pry apart your fob with flat head screwdriver. Remove 1 CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Get new battery and install it inside keyless entry fob's shell. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
Before assembling keyless entry fob's case, verify that all functions works by testing buttons on key fob.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your body pieces together and assemble it together by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your keyless entry remote case for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
