Simple steps to change the battery in your car's remote key fob
Inside of your key fob installed small coin battery. Open the key if it is in the keyless entry remote. Your keyless entry remote key can be extracted with slide.
Accurately try to disassemble your key with pry tools. Change two CR1620 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Change old batteries with fresh one CR1620. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your key will not work if you place battery wrong way.
After the new batteries installed, check keyless entry remote functionality by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s shell in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Accurately try to assemble the pieces together by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your keyless entry remote body for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
