How to Replace the Battery in a 2004 Ford Taurus Key Fob

If your car keyless entry remote is not unlock doors perfectly, the cell battery probably needs to be changed. Below, we demonstrate how to disassembly Ford keyless entry remote and replace a dead battery yourself. What type battery key fob use
Before you start to disassembly key fob check all that you need: CR2032 battery and flat head screwdriver.- 1xCR2032 battery

Step by step guide
A small button battery installed in the your keyless entry remote. Gently try to pry apart your key fob with hands or flat head screwdriver. Remove 1 CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Change old battery with fresh one CR2032. Battery must be installed with the same polarity as was a previous. Your keyless entry remote will not work if you mistakenly put battery wrong way.
When the new battery installed, check key fob functionality by pressing buttons. If everything working good, assemble your keyless entry fob's shell in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Carefully try to put the pieces together by hands from top to bottom. Check your remote key fob shell for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step.
