How to Open Your 2004 Mercedes-Benz CLK320 Key Fob and Change Battery

Before starting disassembly key fob check all that you need: flat head screwdriver and CR2025 batteries.- flat head screwdriver
- 2xCR2025 batteries
Simple steps to replace the battery in your CLK320's remote key fob
A small coin cell battery installed inside the your key fob. Move the key out of the way if it is in the remote key fob.
Gently try to pry apart your key fob with flat head screwdriver. Replace CR2025 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old batteries with fresh one CR2025. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
When the new batteries installed, check keyless entry remote functionality by pressing buttons. If everything working fine, assemble your keyless entry fob's shell in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Carefully try to assemble the pieces together by hands from top to bottom. If your fob case firmly closed, we done. If not, repeat the last step.
