How to Replace the Battery in a 2004 Mercedes-Benz CLK55 AMG Key Fob

If your car key fob is not open doors well, the battery probably needs to be replaced. Below, we explained how to open your key fob and change your Mercedes-Benz key battery.

Prior to disassembly keyless entry remote check all that you need: 2 CR2025 batteries and flat head screwdriver.- 2xCR2025 batteries

Simple steps to replace the battery in your CLK55 AMG's key fob
Inside of your keyless entry remote installed tiny button cell battery. Remove any internal key first, and then try to pry apart the key fob.
Gently try to open your keyless entry remote with flat head screwdriver. Remove 2xCR2025 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Get new batteries and install it inside keyless entry fob's body. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
When the new batteries installed, verify key fob by pressing buttons. If everything working properly, assemble your keyless entry fob's shell in reverse order.
At this point squeeze keyless entry fob's back cover together. Line your case two halves together and assemble it in place by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your keyless entry remote shell for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step.
