Keyless entry remote grant access to your car. When the key battery is weak you will lose your fob’s ability to use remote functions. Below, we explained how to disassembly your keyless entry remote and replace your Scion key battery step by step.
What kind of battery remote key fob requireBefore you start to disassembly remote key fob be sure that you have all required tools and materials: one CR2025 battery and flat head screwdriver.

Step by step guide
A tiny button cell battery installed in the your keyless entry remote. Gently try to pry apart your remote key fob with flat head screwdriver. Change 1 CR2025 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old battery with fresh one CR2025. Battery must be installed with the same position as was an old. Your key fob will not work if you by mistake put battery wrong way.
After the new battery installed, verify keyless entry remote functionality by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s body in reverse order.
At this point squeeze keyless entry fob's back cover together. Line your shell two halves together and put it in place by hands from top to bottom. Check your key shell for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
