2004 Toyota Yaris Key Fob Battery Replacement Guide

If your car key isn't open doors properly, the battery most likely must to be changed. Before you start to disassembly key fob make sure that you have all recommended tools and materials: flat head screwdriver, phillips head screwdriver and one CR2016 battery.- phillips head screwdriver

Step by step guide
A button cell battery installed inside the your keyless entry remote. Unscrew the back of the remote key fob. Spin the remote key fob over and find for at least 1 screw holding in the plastic.
Accurately try to pry apart your fob with flat head screwdriver. Change one CR2016 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Get new battery and install it in keyless entry fob's body. Battery must be installed with the same polarity as was an old. Your remote key fob will not work if you by mistake place battery wrong way.
When the new battery installed, verify keyless entry remote by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s body in reverse order.
At this point squeeze keyless entry fob's back cover together. Line your case two halves together and assemble it together by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your remote key fob body for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step. Screw the back of the remote key fob.
