How to Replace the Battery in a 2004 Volvo XC90 Key Fob

Before you start to open key fob make sure that you have all recommended tools and materials: flat head screwdriver and 1xCR2032 battery.- 1xCR2032 battery

Step by step instruction
Inside of your keyless entry remote installed coin battery. Carefully try to pry apart your keyless entry remote with pry tools. Remove 1xCR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old battery with new one CR2032. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the charge cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check polarity on battery, by "+" mark.
After the new battery installed, verify keyless entry remote functionality by pressing buttons. If everything working good, assemble your keyless entry fob's body in reverse order.
At this point squeeze keyless entry fob's back cover together. Line your shell two halves together and assemble it together by hands from top to bottom. Check your keyless entry remote body for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step.
