How to Open Your 2005 Audi A6 Key Fob and Change Battery

Simple steps to replace the battery in your A6's key fob
Inside of your key fob installed small coin battery. Open the key if it is in the keyless entry remote.
Gently try to pry apart your key with hands or flat head screwdriver. Change 1 CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Change old battery with new one CR2032. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your remote key fob will not work if you place battery wrong way.
When the new battery installed, check remote key fob functionality by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your keyless entry fob's body in reverse order.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your body pieces together and put it in place by hands from top to bottom. If your key fob shell firmly closed, we done. If not, repeat the last step.
