How to Replace the Battery in a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt Key Fob

Step by step instruction
A tiny coin battery installed inside the your remote key fob. Carefully try to open your remote key fob with hands or flat head screwdriver. Remove 1 CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old battery with new one CR2032. Battery must be placed with the same position as was a previous. Your remote key fob will not work if you mistakenly put battery wrong way.
When the new battery installed, check keyless entry remote functionality by pressing buttons. If everything is functioning, assemble your fob’s shell in reverse order.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your body pieces together and put it in place by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your fob case for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
