2005 Chrysler 300 Key Fob Battery Replacement Guide

If your car keyless entry remote is not working properly, the cell battery more likely needs to be changed. Below, we walks you through how to open your keyless entry remote and change your Chrysler key battery.
What type battery remote key fob use
Before going to disassembly keyless entry remote check all that you need: flat head screwdriver and 1 CR2032 battery.- flat head screwdriver
- 1xCR2032 battery
Step by step instruction
Inside of your remote key fob installed small button cell battery. Gently try to pry apart your key with hands or flat head screwdriver. Change 1xCR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Get new battery and install it inside fob’s body. Battery must be installed with the same position as was an old. Your keyless entry remote will not work if you mistakenly place battery wrong way.
After the new battery installed, verify remote key fob by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s shell in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Accurately try to assemble the pieces together by hands from top to bottom. Check your keyless entry remote body for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
