Before beginning disassembly key fob make sure that you have all required tools and materials: CR2016 batteries and flat head screwdriver.- 2xCR2016 batteries

Simple steps to replace the battery in your Ram's remote key fob
A small button battery installed inside the your remote key fob. Gently try to open your keyless entry remote with hands or flat head screwdriver. Change two CR2016 batteries with flat head screwdriver.
Get new batteries and install it inside fob’s body. Battery must be installed with the same polarity as was an old. Your key will not work if you by mistake put battery wrong way.
After the new batteries installed, check remote key fob by pressing buttons. If everything working fine, assemble your keyless entry fob's shell in reverse order.
At this point squeeze keyless entry fob's back cover together. Line your case pieces together and put it in place by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your keyless entry remote body for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
